Desktop Crash Fix 2 to Battlefield 3

Are you one of those persons who's been keep getting crashed in Battlefield 3?

Then this tutorial should help you prevent those desktop crashes and make your Computer run better

- Windows 7

- Windows Vista

Step 1 (Windows 7):

Click on the Windows Start icon or use the Windows flag hotkey.

Step 2:

Click in the "Search programs and files" input area.

And type "msconfig" without the " ".

Step 3:

Now this Program called "cmd" should show up on the Search area. (Look at the image if you got more than one result under Programs.

Step 4:

Now right click on it and choose "Run as administrator".

A alert box will come up on your screen asking you if you are sure you want to run this as a administrator, and you just click "Yes"

Step 5:

Then this Window will come up on the screen.

Step 6:

Click on the text area and type "msconfig" without the " ".

Step 7:

Now click on the OK button

Step 8:

Aften clicking on the OK button, this window will come up.

Click on the Fan/Tab "Startup". (Look at the image if your not sure)

Step 9:

Now you will be enable to view all those program which startup everytime you starts your PC(Windows).

To be sure you know what you're doing here drag in the line "Start Item" & the line "Manufacturer", new you will be enable to view the whole name of the software there is startup everytime Windows starts.

Step 10:

Now it should look alittle like this.

Step 11:

Now start to uncheck those programs you don't wish to startup everytime Windows starts.

You properly got programs like Steam, Origin, Windows Live Messenger, BitTorrent, µTorrent, Google update, Itunes and Java.

All those Software uncheck them all there is no reason for them to start up everytime you startup your PC (Windows) it's just a waist of good RAM powers.

- Remember not to Uncheck programs like AMD, Catalyst, Nvidia or other kind of grapich panel's so if you don't know which grapich card your computer got then find out before unchecking everything :)

You can allways change this back, if you wan't some or all the programs to startup again.

- Don't worry.

Step 12:

This is how mine would look like, i really like my PowerISO to run everytime my Windows startsup and also my grapich card ofcause :)

Then just click OK and restart your computer.

This should do help your Computer to run the game faster and prevent desktop crash. :)

- Done.

Step 1 (Windows Vista):

Click on the Windows Start icon or use the Windows flag hotkey.

Step 2:

Click on the "Computer" link.

Step 3:

Choose the Hard driver you installed your Windows on, normal it would be on the "C:" Hard driver.

When you find out, click on it.

Step 4:

Now look after the folder called "Windows", and click on it.

- [INFO]; If you got a folder called "Windows.old" you shouldn't click on it that one, sinces it's outdated and doesn't have anything to do with your Windows anymore.

- [READ] You might get some alert boxes up on the screen, when you are entering this Windows folder. This alert box will tell you that, you're in the Windows system folders and so on, just click on the Yes button or Okay button. As long you don't delete anything your 100% safe, and nothing bad won't happent, don't worry ;-)

Step 5:

Now when you in the Windows folder look after another folder called "System32"

Step 6:

Look after the name "cmd" it's a software on 337 kb, which you can controle your system with.

(Look at the image to see how the icon looks like)

Step 7:

When you found it, right click on it and chooose "Run as administrator"

Still doesn't fix mine ;-) but I doubt mine has something to do with my RAM memory as I have 12GB in there and when the game is running there is still more then 8GB free so...
any other fixes?
